Yesenia holds a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Albizu University and is currently a Doctoral candidate in the same field at Nova Southeastern University. Her background in therapy provides a strong foundation in family systems, with specialized training in various approaches including Bowen Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and EMDR. Additionally, Yesenia is actively pursuing certification as a sex therapist to assist clients with sexual health and intimacy concerns. Yesenia is an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate with experience in Encounter-centered Couples Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is trauma-focused and nonpathologizing. Yesenia is passionate about addressing dominant narratives and oppressive factors that influence her clients' lives.
